The Mo Family

My friend and fellow photographer, Alex asked me to photograph his family for his holiday pictures. His son Finley, is the cutest little guy ever! He’s sweet, playful and all boy! Poor lil guy fell and scraped his knee. All it took was a kiss from Mommy and he was skipping down the trail again-so cute!! Finely loves Angry Birds, so Mommy and Daddy ordered Angry Bird cake pops for our session and Finely got to taste a couple. He had fun playing “keep away” from Mommy and Daddy too! Alex is one lucky guy-he’s got a beautiful wife and the cutest son!

The Gonzalez Family

I had a blast with the Gonzalez Family this weekend! It was instantly comfortable and fun for all of us. They’re all very sweet and easy going. Diana had warned me that her family (kids) weren’t excited about taking photos, but you would never guess! Little Ava was my biggest fan. She “really liked” every photo I showed her and happily suggested poses for the family! So cute! g2g4g3g9g5g1dipdip2dip3g12g18g19g20g6g8g17

The Ruiz Family

I had the pleasure of photographing The Ruiz family a couple of Saturdays ago. Alicia called me in a hurry to photograph her belly. She still had a month left but the doctor told her she was already dilating! She asked me if we can squeeze something in quickly in case she went into labor early. Luckily it worked out great.

They’re a very sweet family but one of my favorite parts of the session was big sister Miliani reading to her baby brother; whom she named “Peanut”. She reads to him regularly and is excited he’s coming. He’s going to be a lucky little brother!dipr4r5r8r6r7r9r12r13r14r15dip2r1

Mr + Mrs Martinez [Malibu, CA]

had the honor of photographing Margie & Arturo’s wedding in September. It was the perfect day-sunny, clear and warm. Perfect for a outdoor wedding. Margie & Arturo thoroughly enjoyed their day, which was so nice to see. I’m blessed to have been apart of their wedding day.m33m6m44m3m19m23m43m14m9m35m34m26m36m24m38m10m12m18m27m30m31m32m37m5m7m42m39

Sam + Nicole

Sunday I had the pleasure of meeting Sam & Nicole at Murphy Ranch Park. Nicole asked for a quick session as her and Sam felt a little uneasy in front of a camera. We chatted and got to know each other. They told me how they met; in College (Whittier College) on the swim team. Sam is from Seattle and Nicole from good ol’ Whittier. Sam decided to stay in Whittier after college, they married and now are expecting their first child; a baby girl named Emily. Sam was anxious to get started and “get it over with”. He made me laugh. Nicole seemed right at home and was in no rush. Sam entertained us with his forestry knowledge while Nicole did her solo shots. He did great during the session but was more than happy to let Nicole be the center of attention. In the end, you’d never know that either were camera-shy. (Their love shows in their photos.)

I wish you the best as you wait the arrival of little Miss Emily, Sam & Nicole!b2b3b4b5b6b7b8b1b9b10baab16bb18ba

The Cue Family

Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing The Cue Family. They were very sweet and easy going, which made my job easy and fun! Jasmine wanted maternity/family portraits. She wanted to incorporate little Ares in with her maternity shots. He’ll be the big “1” next month! His baby sister, Aria will arrive in January 2014. Thank goodness he’s just as easy going as his Mommy and Daddy-this will make an addition to the family much easier! (Being that they’ll be 14 months apart)

The day was perfect! We shot at Crescent Bay Beach and Crescent Bay Point Park in Laguna. Both were gorgeous! The park happens to be the location I got married at. I haven’t been back since the day of my wedding, so being back there brought sweet memories.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family, Jasmine & Adrian. Many blessings!c2a3c5ac11c9aaaaac3a1a2c6c29c32c33

Eric & Alyssa are Engaged!! [Whittier, CA]

Saturday I had the honor of photographing a surprise engagement! My first! I was nervous and excited to be apart of a moment like this.

Eric had emailed me a month or two prior explaining his plan and asked me to capture this surprise for them. He explained that he & Alyssa met while attending Whittier College. They purchased a brick together for their graduating class and that’s where he would be proposing. We talked about a plan of how the event would unfold. I would arrive early and pretend to be taking pictures of the campus and he would text me when they pulled up. What really happened: I hid behind a tree and his text arrived after they were already walking up to the brick. hehe.. It all worked out more than fine! c16c17aaac22c24c25

After the proposal, they opted for some impromptu portraits.. She was in shock the whole time, while Eric played it cool. They chatted about who knew of his plan and she asked “what about the pizza? Are we still supposed to get the pizza?” No pizza. She got a gorgeous diamond ring instead.
